The One Question to Ask Before You Trust Any AI Tool
With so many AI tools popping up right now — and we mean SO many, hundreds of new ones this year alone — it’s easy to feel like you have to just pick one and hope for the best.
Here’s the one question that cuts through most of the noise: ‘What happens to my customer’s information once they give it to this?’
Ask that before anything else. Where does the data go? Who owns it? Can you get it back out if you ever switch tools? A lot of free AI tools make their money by using — or selling — the data that flows through them. That’s not always a dealbreaker, but you deserve to know it going in, not find out later.
Any AI tool worth using should be able to answer that question clearly, in plain English, without dodging it. If they can’t — or won’t — that tells you something.
